DRESS FOR SUCCESS NORTHERN NJ CELEBRATES 20th ANNIVERSARY AT Emp

MADISON, N.J. – Dress for Success Northern NJ-10 Counties (DFSNNJ), (https://northernnj.dressforsuccess.org), an organization, dedicated to creating long-lasting solutions that enable women to build confidence in the workplace, gain economic independence, and break the cycle of poverty,will celebrate two decades of success in helping women to achieve those goals on May 3, during its EmpowHERing LIVES GALA at The Park Savoy, (www.theparksavoy.com), at 236 Ridgefield Ave, Florham Park.

Past and present board members will be honored during the milestone celebration for their contribution, diligence, and dedication in helping over 10,000 women gain confidence and independence since the organization’s inception in 1998.

“This year’s EmpowHERing Lives Gala will bring together women — and men — of all ages, backgrounds, and occupations to celebrate our work together in continuing to raise awareness and fund DFSNNJ’s mission, and for helping women to flourish in the workplace so they may live safer and better lives,” said Parul Patel, board president of DFSNNJ-10 counties. “Thanks to our board members, who we will be honoring that evening, and thanks to our volunteers, donors, employees, and the community, each day we are closer to achieving that goal.”

According to New Jersey poverty statistics (https://talkpoverty.org), 10.8 percent of women were below the poverty line in 2017, down from 11 percent in 2016. Dress for Success Northern NJ-10 Counties has been committed to lowering this statistic, and in 2017 successfully aided 1,500 women by helping them rise above the poverty level by providing long-term employment solutions and other services.
