Drew Gallery Hosting Prof's Art Exhibit

"Time Image" comes to Korn Gallery.

Drew University’s Korn Gallery is hosting an exhibit of mixed media art, "Time Image," by artist and assistant professor of studio art Lee Arnold.

Arnold’s “Time Image” is a reference to 20th century French philosopher Gilles Deleuze’s seminal text on cinema and the moving image. The exhibition consists of work in a variety of media including film, video animation, photography, drawing and sound, and is an attempt to lead the viewer to consider the relationship between time and perception.

Arnold has exhibited work in the U.S. and abroad at venues including the Scope Art Fair in New York; the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia; SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles; and the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin.  He is the recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Berlin’s DAAD.

The exhibit runs through March 9. The Korn Gallery is located in the Dorothy Young Center for the Arts on Drew University’s Madison campus. The gallery’s normal hours of operation are 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Friday.  The exhibit is also available by appointment and on selected weekends.
