Drugged Driver Had Cocaine: Madison Police

Martine P. Peyser was arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 60-year-old Florham Park woman was arrested and charged with drug possession after a motor vehicle stop on March 17, according to the Madison Police Department.

According to authorities, Corporal Bart Glab stopped Martine P. Peyser’s vehicle after conducting a property check of a commercial business on Main Street. When speaking with Peyser, Glab observed obvious signs of drug use in plain view, police said.

After further investigation, Peyser was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and suspected cocaine, police said. She was asked to perform field sobriety evaluations and placed under arrest, police said. Peyser was charged with 3rd degree possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, failure to surrender controlled dangerous substance and driving under the influence of controlled dangerous substance, police said.

She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed. She was later transported to Morristown Medical Center for an evaluation and is awaiting her court appearance in Morris County Superior Court, police said.
