A Clean, Healthy, Happy Home

"A Clean, Healthy, Happy Home" will be the topic of a program led by Madison resident, Anita Pacheco, on Wednesday, January 19th at 1pm.  The program will be presented in the Chase Room of the Madison Public Library.  It is free and open to the public.
Rather than relying on TV commercials for information about cleaning products you use, learn for yourself what it means to have a clean, healthy and happy home.  Gain perspective on the definition of clean; review chemistry and labeling in simple to understand terms; discuss products; and explore simple ways to improve indoor air quality.  You will receive recommendations on some basic cleaning recipes and a reference list for further study.  There will also be a discussion on new technologies which borrow from nature to aid in your housekeeping efforts.

Anita Pacheco received her undergraduate degree in biology and environmental studies and her MBA in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Marketing. She began her career in the water treatment industry before moving to the chemical industry where she sold preservatives, specialty polymers and surfactants used in industry as well as personal care and household products. For the last 7 years she has been involved in the field of biotechnology where she works with corporations in the development of future generations of household and institutional cleaning products. With her environmental consciousness and years spent in the chemical industry, Anita offers a unique view. As a wife, mom and homemaker, living in Madison for 27 years, she will share the knowledge she has gained with you and open a dialogue on this very basic but important topic.
