Adoptive Mothers and Daughters:  The Face Has Two Mirrors

Adoptive mothers have great hopes for closeness with their daughters, in part based on shared gender, yet relationship are often fraught with conflect.  This workshop will explore roots of tensions between mothers and daughters and will illuminate the role that adoption plays in positive and negative family dynamics.  Creating the foundation for emotional intimacy through all stages of child and family development will also be discussed.
