"Les Petits Travaux Montrent," The Small Works Show at the Newark School of the Arts is a celebration of works created on a small-scale.  The exhibit is open to all artists, including videographers.   The Newark School of the Arts is located in the heart of Lincoln Park's Arts and Cultural district. 

Please note the gallery is located within a school therefore submissions which depict overt nudity, sexual content or violence cannot be accepted.  A color catalog will be produced for this exhibit based on a selection of images sent on September 30, 2010.

ELIGIBILITY:

"Les Petits Travaux Montrent," is open to all artists ages 18 and older.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• Artists may submit a maximum of 6 entries. An entry form must be attached to all entries. Extra copies of the attached form are available.
• Only original work selected for the exhibit and must have been completed within the last 3 years.
• Artwork may be in any medium, but total dimensions must not exceed 12'' x 12'' x 12'', (Including the frame).
• Video submissions, no longer than 5 minutes.
• 2D work must be ready to hang. If work is framed, the art and frame combined must not exceed 12'' x 12'', (Including the frame). The School is equipped with the "Walker" system to hang and display work. Work not ready to hang will be returned at the cost of the artist.
• Framed work must be pre-wired.
• 3D work must be ready to display. Art must not exceed the total 12'' x 12''x 12'' dimensions

IMPORTANT DATES

September 6, 2010 - Artists must notify NSA of their agreement to be in the show by this date.
September 30, 2010 - Jpegs of work and artist statement due. Email Jpegs and artist statements to: asmith@newarkschoolofthearts.org  
September 30, 2010 - Work delivered to The Newark School of the Arts (Art work must be ready to hang with the appropriate hardware, wiring, framing, matting, etc.)
October 11 through – November 5, 2010 - Exhibition dates
October 22, 2010 - Opening Reception 6-8pm at Newark School of the Arts
November 8, 2010- Artwork must be picked up at the gallery
