Ethel Merman Show at Madison Public Library

The Traveling Stage Company will present their one woman show about the life and times of Ethel Merman in the Chase Room of the Madison Public Library on Wednesday, May 5th at 11:00 am.   This one-woman show will feature live performances of many of Ms. Merman's famous songs, as well as stories about her life.  As the star of classic musical comedies like Anything Goes, Annie Get Your Gun and Gypsy, Ethel Merman was a vivacious and powerful performer who could mesmerize audiences and critics alike.  The Traveling Stage Company will bring Ms. Merman to life through this wonderful production.  With a voice that never needed amplification and a delivery of songs that had all the famous composers of her day clamoring for her attention, Ethel Merman emerged onto the Broadway stage to become one of its greatest stars.
