
A “Tribute to Judy Garland” featuring husband and wife duo Joel Zelnik (pianist) and Francine Evans (soloist) will be held on Thursday, March 10th at 11:00 am at the Madison Public Library. This concert will include some of Garland’s best known songs such as “The Boy Next Door,” “Swanee,” “Easter Parade,” The Trolley Song,” “But Not For Me,” “The Man That Got Away,” and of course, the classic “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Francine Evans is a cabaret veteran who has performed in several of New York City’s hotel ballrooms. She is also a former music teacher and opera singer who has appeared in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Japan and Greece. Joel Zelnik trained as a jazz pianist and his first jazz album “Move” was a hit in the U.S. and abroad. He has entertained five presidents, served as a pianist/bandleader for many events, and has performed at concert venues in New York, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Japan and Greece. He has recorded four CDs and has an M.A. from Rutgers University.
