Forum on Heroin Addiction Set for Morris County in November
Task Force will hold free event for residents at Skylands of Randolph.

Heroin and opiate addiction has become an epidemic nationwide, and Morris County is not immune.
Because of that, the Morris County Task Force on Opiates will hold an open forum on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Skylands at Randolph.
Titled “The New Faces of Heroin and Opiate Addiction: Addressing the Problem and Seeking Solutions,” a panel discussion will be led by Doug Collier, Drug Initiative Coordinator and Law Enforcement Liaison in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, according to the county.

Other panelists include professionals in the field of addiction, law enforcement, individuals in recovery as well as family members affected by addiction.
“Drug overdose deaths are now the leading cause of accidental death in the United
States, and Morris County is not immune to this crisis,” said Steve Nebesni, Morris County Municipal Alliance Coordinator in a statement. “This forum will help us better understand the scope of the problem, how lives are being affected and what is being done to control this epidemic.”
