Free Wellness Workshop

Increasing Optimism for a happier, healthier and more productive YOU! Free workshop Madison area YMCA!

Staying productive and optimistic, specifically in times of transition and change can be stressful which may lead to decreased productivity and resiliency. Happiness and resiliency can be increased with simple steps. This workshop will explore studies showing increased levels of optimism promotes happier, healthier, longer and more productive living. Participants will be introduced to 5 key elements of Positive Psychology and learn how these elements can be better integrated into everyday life. Cognitive behavioral and positive psychology theories will be used to provide simple tools and action steps that increase the mind’s receptiveness to positive events to increasing optimism a little each day.

DATE: Thursday, April 30; 7PM – 8:30PM

PRESENTED BY: Cara Maksimow, LCSW, CPC. Cara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey who works with people who experience anxiety and depression. She coaches clients on stress reduction, goal setting and increasing optimism.
