Frutta Bowls Opens In Madison

Freehold based business has expanded into northern New Jersey.

MADISON, NJ - Fresh fruit topping tropical frozen bases are part of the healthy offerings being served up in Madison's Frutta Bowls location, which opened at 57 Main Street on Friday. Mayor Robert Conley, with the help of staff, family and friends, help cut the ribbon at the grand opening ceremony.

Following the ribbon cutting there was a champagne pop and some welcoming words from Dr. Debra Liebowitz, Provost and Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, Drew University.

According to their website, Frutta Bowls started in 2016 as the brainchild of Brooke Gagliano. After spending her college career focused on health, wellness, and sports, Gagliano sought out a way to pursue those interests while building her career. While on a trip out west, Gagliano came across the Açai bowl concept and the idea for Frutta Bowls was born. Frutta Bowls offers smoothies, oatmeal and kale bowls among other menu items.

Gagliano opened the first two Frutta Bowls locations with near her hometown of Freehold and her family, all very involved in health and wellness, decided to take the leap of faith with her, the website said. Leaving their corporate careers, Gagliano and her family have made her dream of creating a healthy and delicious restaurant a reality.

The Frutta Bowls dream started as a local idea with two locations. It has since grown into a nationwide concept, continuing to positively affect many lives along the way. Frutta Bowls strives to set itself apart with a commitment to providing healthy, delicious food, but also with involvement in the communities surrounding each location.
