Gilbert Helps Dodgers Surge Past Pequannock

Girls fall to 1-1 on the season.

Despite trailing 27-10 at halftime, senior Matt Gilbert and the Madison boys basketball team’s second half rally on Tuesday led them to a 51-47 overtime win at Pequannock.

Gilbert, who led all Dodger scorers with 19 points, was one of three Madison players to post a double-digit scoring effort. Cameron Dias netted 14 points and Scott Jouan added 10, helping the Dodgers to their second consecutive win this season.

While Madison found itself in trouble early- they were unable to reach double digits in scoring in either of the first two quarters- the Dodgers came alive in the second half.
