Global Pharmaceutical Company to Open Headquarters in Madison
The five Allergan New Jersey operations will merge into one location in Madison during 2017.

MADISON, NJ — The global pharmaceutical company Allergan plans to merge all of it's New Jersey operations into a new U.S. Administrative Headquarters located in Madison. This project will bring 300 new jobs to Madison in 2017.
Currently, there are five Allergan operations in New Jersey, with a total of 1,200 employees. These locations are in Parsippany, Jersey City, Rockaway, Bridgewater and New Brunswick. The current employees at these locations will be transferred to the Madison Headquarters.
It's predicted that when these five locations combine to create the Headquarters, they'll generate an annual economic impact of $894 million. This will also support 3,700 direct, indirect, and induced jobs, according to the company.

“It’s great news for the county and our taxpayers that a company like Allergan has chosen to set up it’s U.S. headquarters here in Madison,” said Morris County Freeholder Christine Myers. “We look forward to having a long and very good relationship with Allergan as a great neighbor to our county community.”
The new Headquarters will be housed in a 431,500 square foot location in Madison.

Allergan’s innovations and cutting-edge treatments add to the palette of groundbreaking work done across the State that will be to the benefit of patients seeking high quality care,” said Congressman Leonard Lance.
Allergan works to develop, manufacture, and commercialize branded pharmaceuticals, devices and biologic products. The company strives to find new treatments and cures for various diseases, especially regarding the central nervous system and eye care.
