Gay-Straight Alliance Clothing Drive to Benefit Harvey Milk School

Collections will benefit LGBT youth.

The Gay-Straight Alliance will be hosting a clothing drive the week of December 12-19 for the Harvey Milk High School.

The Milk school is a public transfer school for grades 9-12 in New York City. It was founded by the Hetrick-Martin Institute, which seeks to promote empowerment, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youths, many of whom come to the institute in need of the basics such as food, shelter and clothing, the Alliance stated in a release.

Donations of gently used clothing and shoes may be deposited in the collecting boxes in the lobby of Madison High School, 170 Ridgedale Ave., between 7:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. during the school week, and during the day from Monday to Sunday at , 4 Madison Ave. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
