Help St. Hubert's Win Up to 350k!

St. Hubert's qualifies for wildcard round in Petco's 2018 Innovation Showdown

The Petco Innovation Showdown is a collaborative project bringing the nation’s top animal welfare organizations together to invest in lifesaving ideas. After hundreds of submissions, two finalist spots were secured and 9 other shelters then compete for that third and final spot. Once the three top ideas have been chosen, they will present their ideas at this year’s Animal Care Expo and could win up to $350,000. St. Hubert's has been lucky enough to qualify for the Wildcard spot, but now they need YOUR help! The best part is, all you have to do is vote!

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center has a large network of partners across the country who participate in their Sister Shelter WayStation Program. This program transports 70-90 dogs weekly, totaling to over 4,000 a year, out of overburdened organizations and into those with the capacity to help. One of the major components of the network is the relationship within the partners and the support that comes from that relationship. This is known as the “Hands Up” approach.

Recently, St. Hubert’s entered the contest with a submission based around the idea of using the funding to increase and enhance the “Hands Up” approach. The animal welfare center is looking to further support these partners that are in need of transport, fundamental supplies, funding for spay/neuter and mentorship, all while saving thousands of lives in the process. St. Hubert’s is looking to providing assistance to their partners in areas that lack space and resources, giving them a Hand Up so they have the tools to save thousands of animals.
