Historic Madison Movie Theater Not Affected By Building Sale: Reports
The four-screen theater will continue showing movies.
MADISON, NJ— Despite being sold, a historic Madison movie theater will continue showing movies, according to news reports.
14 Lincoln Place was sold after a year on the market, Madison Eagle first reported. The building has housed a four screen theater since 1925.
Mayor Robert Conley confirmed to NJ.com that the theater had been there for 92 years, and recalled the first movie he saw: the 1965 Beatles movie, "Help!"

Bow Tie Cinemas purchased the theater in 2013, upgrading the projectors to digital and adding stadium seating.
