Historic Windows Workshop with Gordon Bock at the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts
Are the owner of a historic home or perhaps hoping to buy one? Join us for a workshop on historic windows

Madison, NJ – On Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts will conduct a two session workshop on the architectural elements of windows, the jewels of a home.
Do you own a historic home, or are you thinking about purchasing one? These treasures are a telescope to our past and deserve loving care to save them for future generations. Gordon Bock, AIA, will teach you how to bring your windows into the 21st century by improving their energy efficiency while maintaining the historic integrity of your home. This is a one day, two session workshop. The morning session will focus on the history of double-hung wood sash windows, and techniques for improving their energy efficiency and sustainability. The afternoon session will consist of hands-on demonstration of sash window maintenance and repair techniques, glass replacement and reglazing.
Join us for one or both of these informative sessions led by Gordon Bock, AIA. Best known for his two decades of work on Old-House Journal, Gordon is a national authority on all aspects of historic houses, instructor for the National Preservation Institute, and taught at the former Historic Preservation Program at Drew University.
