Hypodermic Needle, Drug Paraphernalia Allegedly Found in Woman's Car

The following arrest information was supplied by the Madison Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A stop for a motor vehicle violation by turned into a drug bust last week for a Union County woman.

On June 7 at 1:53 p.m., Ptl. Sean Plumstead arrested 31-year-old Rachael Licata of New Providence and charged her with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Plumstead initially stopped Licata for driving while on a cellphone near 317 Main Street. During the stop he determined that she was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Licata was transported to headquarters for processing and released pending a mandatory court appearance. She was issued a motor vehicle summons for driving while using a cellphone.
