"It's a rivalry game, it's a big game for us. Whoever we play in the semis we'd look forward to, but it should be an interesting game for the kids," Madison coach Chris Kubik said. "Playing a team twice is never easy but it's what you gotta do."
Goodwin notched 88 yards and a touchdown on seven carries, 146 yards and two touchdowns on two receptions and had a pair of kick-off returns for 80 yards and 85 yards—both of which went for scores in Saturday's rout of Hackettstown. He also chipped in on defense with a pair of tackles and broke up a few passes.
"(The offensive line) blocked hard as always and they always open up some holes," Goodwin said. "When I find them, I take off."
Lassiter threw for 204 yards and three scores on 3-of-6 passing and also had 30 yards and a TD on five carries.
The defensive unit gave up 346 total yards and gave up 28 points, which tied for a season-high. However, the group also forced six punts on 12 drives and recorded three sacks and a fumble recovery in the win.
"I thought we played well. We had to adjust to a new set they came out in, which was a good set, but once we settled down defensively we controlled the game," Kubik said. "We were never in doubt, but you gotta step up and play and we had some kids do that today."
