Kick Back on ‘Rosewood’ For Some Friday Entertainment
Band to play as part of The Downtown Concert Series.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets and snacks, and be sure to have your cell phone batteries on maximum charge…because on Friday you’ll be able to wave them through the air in sync with jazzy local tunes.
Enjoy this free music on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the lawn of the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts in downtown Madison. The band ‘Rosewood’ will be performing!
Comprised of a group of local Madison residents, Rosewood includes Mary McManus on vocals and percussion, John McManus on vocals and the guitar, Bill Meyer on the bass guitar and the piano, and Leo McClusky on vocals and the guitar.

According to an event preview on the Borough of Madison website, Roseland “brings their mutual love for music to the community with a natural beauty and sincerity. (Their) song choices evolve from their diverse range of musical roots – pop, rock, jazz, classical, blues, spiritual and many originals. Rosewood has a synergy that unites an audience, young and old, with a powerful spirit of friendship and family fun.”
Attendees are asked to bring a blanket and/or a chair, and can sit back (at no cost) to watch the amusing night unfold. Picnics are also welcomed.

The event will go down rain or shine, but in the case of heavy rain or other inclement weather, they will transition the show inside of the Museum. At that point, seating will be on a first-come first-serve basis.
Friday’s event is also apart of The Downtown Concert Series, which are weekly free shows put on to entertain local residents.
Once the show ends, guests are also invited to traverse through the downtown area, scouting out shops and different restaurants that will fill a night’s agenda.
The concert after Roseland will be the last one of the season, held on September 13, and will be graced by the Appalachia-gone-Afro-Brazilian band, Matuto.
Bringing much of these efforts into realization have been the museum’s generous sponsors, including Morris Arts, Investors Bank and the Madison Downtown Development Commission.
