What many have described as The Bard's perfect play reappeared Wednesday as "Othello" opened a four-week run courtesy of at .

The twisted tale of love, jealousy and betrayal features actors familiar from other presentations and was directed by Bonnie J. Monte. 

Lindsay Smiling is Othello, the tragic Moor of Venice. Victoria Mack is Desdemona, whose perceived infidelity ultimately drives Othello mad.

But at the center of this heartbreaking drama is the scheming Iago, played by Robert Cuccioli. When Othello failed to promote his longtime aide, the duplicitous Iago, suspicious the brilliant and handsome general had seduced his wife, wreaks vengenance.

The Shakespeare Theatre production continues until Oct. 7.
