Madison Area YMCA 2021 Annual Golf Classic Exceeds $115,000
Most successful event in the golf outing's 24-year history
(Madison, NJ) October 14, 2021 - Thanks to many generous sponsors, 112 golfers and more than 20 volunteers, including YMCA staff and a dedicated Golf Event Committee co-chaired by Jaime Pego Curcio and Scott Waterstredt, both of Madison, more children than ever before will experience the magic of YMCA summer camp in 2022. This year's Madison Area YMCA Annual Golf Classic held on Monday, September 20, 2021 was the most successful event in the golf outing's 24-year history.
“A total of 142 weeks of camp were donated during the event in addition to the weeks of camp awarded through the proceeds of the live auction and silent auction items at the evening’s "Camp for One, Camp for All" dinner reception. The event raised more than $115,000 to support making summer day camp a reality for local children,” said Associate Development Director Melissa DeSalvo.
Citi Global Markets was the Presenting Sponsor of the Annual Golf Classic. Credit Suisse was the Tournament Sponsor. Gary’s Wine & Marketplace, Linde, Hansen & Co., KPMG, The MCJ Amelior Foundation, Morrison Mahoney LLP, Provident Bank, SitusAMC and USI Insurance Services were also major sponsors of the charity tournament.

Madison parent and YMCA member Rachel Elias Reed shared her testimonial as a parent of two KidsQuest campers at the evening reception. Ms. Reed noted the fun, educational, enriching, memorable summer her children had at Y camp, and that she feels, “....it is so important to give all children the same enriching experiences, regardless of available resources; because these types of experiences truly shape a child and make lasting positive impacts. These influences will be something a child will carry with them for the rest of their lives and shape who they become as an adult.”
