Summer is here! At the Madison Area YMCA, we want to give kids an opportunity to enjoy a fun and safe summer as our day camps open on July 6. After spending so much time at home and missing the social interaction from school, kids need camp this summer more than ever.

“This summer is going to look a little different, but we are so excited to bring the magical experience of Quest Camps to our youth beginning Monday, July 6,” said Association Camp Director Liz Kryznefski. “Our highly trained camp staff are motivated and excited to promote physical distancing games this summer- from team building to camp cheers and STEM activities. Campers will have so much fun with a wide variety of games while staying healthy and safe.”

We have multiple protocols in place to support a safe environment, including daily temperature and health checks, camper “pod” organization including dedicated counselor assignments and a limit of 10 campers indoors and 12 outdoors, hand sanitizer stations and designated hand-washing times. During meals and snacks, all campers will be physically distanced from one another. Staff will wear a face covering (and wear gloves where applicable). The safety of all our campers, staff and guests is our first priority, and we will continue to follow guidelines from health authorities including state and local governments, CDC, and American Camp Association to provide a safe and healthy camp experience.
