The Madison Area YMCA Rosettes Gymnastics Team delivered an exceptional performance at the 88th YMCA National Gymnastics Championship, themed "Blooming with Opportunity," held June 27–July 1, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Competing against approximately 2,000 gymnasts from across the country, ranging in age from 6 to 20, our 51 Rosettes gymnasts demonstrated the depth, talent, and teamwork that have made the program one of the nation's premier YMCA gymnastics teams.
The Rosettes celebrated four National Championship team titles, with the Xcel Diamond (fourth consecutive year), Xcel Gold (third consecutive year), Xcel Silver, and Xcel Sapphire teams each earning 1st Place National Champion honors. The Xcel Platinum team also delivered an outstanding performance, capturing 2nd Place in a highly competitive field of 21 teams.

Beyond the competition floor, the Rosettes were proudly represented by two athletes, Natalie McLean (17, Chatham) and Ellie Morrison (14, Madison), selected to serve on the YMCA National Athletes Council. During the Opening Ceremony, they had the honor of carrying the flags before thousands of spectators and confidently addressed a crowd of more than 5,000 athletes, coaches, families, and supporters from across the country.
"Watching our Rosettes succeed on the national stage is an inspiring moment for our entire YMCA community," said Diane Mann, CEO of the Madison Area YMCA. "These accomplishments reflect countless hours of dedication from our athletes, coaches, and families, and they showcase the values that define the YMCA—hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and community. We are incredibly proud of the way the Rosettes represented both our YMCA and New Jersey on the national stage."

"Congratulations to all of our athletes and teams on your amazing accomplishments and placements," said Gymnastics Director Christina Lopez. "Seeing your hard work shine on the competition floor was truly special. Thank you to our coaches for your passion, leadership, and support, and to our parents for every early morning, long drive, and season-long encouragement. We are so proud of this team and grateful for the memories made along the way.
"The beauty of this team isn't the titles or the medals. It's the bonds we've built, the way we show up for one another, and the support that never wavers. It's sisterhood, energy, laughter, and small moments that remind us that we're stronger together. That's what makes our Rosettes so special. This season has brought its share of challenges, but through every high and every challenge, our athletes, coaches, and families have stood by one another. That's the beauty of the Y. We are more than just a team. We are a community."
