MADISON, NJ — The Borough of Madison has announced that all athletic fields will be closed through Saturday, July 4 due to the extreme heat this weekend. All fields will be closed daily from noon to 5 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the Madison area with predicted temperatures expected to be triple-digits. Officials are encouraging residents to avoid prolonged time outdoors during the heat wave.
