Madison High School Record Falls at NJSIAA Relays
Boys 4x00 meeter relay team breaks 35-year-old mark in Group I meet.
The Madison boys 4x800 meter relay team broke a 35-year-old school record at the NJSIAA Group I Relays in Toms River on Sunday. The boys team finished 11th overall in the meet, garnering a total of 9 points, while the girls team finished 13th overall with 6 points.
It was Kyle Flyer, Jack Mahoney, Jakob Steinmetz and Greg Zitelli who combined for a time of 8:32 in the 4x800, breaking the record of 8:43 set in 1975. The group took third in the event.
R.J. Graddy and Aaron Shinn combined for a fourth-place finish in the varsity boys high jump relay. Graddy lept 5-feet, 8-inches, and Shinn hit the 5-feet, 4-inch mark.

The Dodgers' Grace Marotta and Elizabeth Hubbard, who have both been among the top finishers in girls shot put throughout this entire season, earned a fourth-place finish in the shot put relay.
Katie McCarter, Gabby Rojas, Caroline Miller and Melissa Iskandar placed fifth for Madison in the distance medley.

The next Madison indoor track meet is on Wednesday at Drew University for the Morris County Indoor Track Championships.
