Madison Junior School Honors Martin Luther King Jr.

Assembly featured poems from students, words from Morris County NAACP president.

Students at the Madison Junior School were treated to an assembly Friday celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

President of the Morris County NAACP Rev. Alfonso Sherald was on hand to speak to the children about Dr. King's contributions to the United States, as well as the continued need for future generations to break down racial barriers.

Before Rev. Sherald's talk, students read poems, performed skits, and read excerpts from Dr. King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
