Madison LEO Pharma Employees Walk For Eczema Awareness, Donate $10K
LEO Pharma employees and community members gathered in Madison to raise awareness of chronic hand eczema.
MADISON, NJ — Employees and community members gathered Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the U.S. headquarters of LEO Pharma, a pharmaceutical company based in Ballerup, Denmark, for a one-mile walk raising awareness of chronic hand eczema.
According to a press release provided to Patch, the walk recognized Eczema Awareness Month and the first World Chronic Hand Eczema Day, held Oct. 5, for which LEO Pharma served as the exclusive sponsor.
The company said chronic hand eczema affects nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide, causing symptoms including itching, pain, redness, scaling and fissures.

During the event, patients shared their experiences living with the condition and how treatment with Anzupgo improved their everyday lives.
LEO Pharma also donated $10,000 to the National Eczema Association, according to the release.
