Madison Man Arrested In Fatal Chatham Hit And Run
The 62-year-old Madison man was charged in the death of a 76-year-old pedestrian.

MADISON, NJ— A Madison man was arrested Wednesday for leaving the scene of a car crash that left a pedestrian dead in Chatham, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.
William Barbosa-Ruiz, 62, was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death for what police say was his role on Tuesday's fatal accident.
Police say Barbosa-Ruiz was driving his 1997 Nissan Sentra on Shunpike Road just after 5 p.m. on Jan. 3 when he struck Giuseppe “Joseph” Stanco, 76, of Glen Cove, New York.

Stanco was pronounced dead shortly afterwards, despite medical assistance.
In addition to leaving the scene of an accident, Barbosa-Ruiz was also charged with multiple motor vehicle violations.
