Madison Man Charged With Aggravated Assault
Ismail Demirci was arrested after and altercation on Keep Street, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 31-year-old Madison man was arrested and charged with simple assault and aggravated assault following an investigation on Dec. 26, Madison Police said.
According to officials, Patrolman Travis Daniel was dispatched to a Keep Street residence for an assault in the past, police said. Upon arrival, patrols met with the victim who identified Ismail Demirci as the person who committed the assault, police said. After an investigation, Demirci was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a 3rd degree crime, and simple assault, a disorderly person’s offense, police said.
Demirci was later lodged in the Morris County Jail, awaiting a court appearance in Morris County Superior Court and the victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
