Madison Man Charged With Animal Cruelty
Lin Lu had his canine taken from him Dec. 12, police said.

MADISON, NJ - A 51-year-old Madison man had his dog taken from him after he was charged with animal cruelty on Dec. 12, Madison Police said.
Corporal Sean McCarthy was investigating an animal cruelty complaint from November where Lin Lu was suspected of not properly caring for his canine, police said. Following the initial complaint, the canine was transported to an animal care facility in the area and following the investigation in conjunction with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Lu was charged with Animal Cruelty, a 4th degree crime, police said.
Lu was processed at Madison Police headquarters and released pending a court appearance in Morris County Superior Court, police said. The canine has since been removed from Lu’s residence and placed in a caring home, police said.
