In a series older than almost anyone in the crowd, the 79th meeting of and Millburn on Thanksgiving Day was all Madison in a 36-0 victory Thursday morning on the road.
The Dodgers won their 24th consecutive game and will next face Summit (11-0) next Friday night at Kean University for the North Jersey Section 2, Group 2 championship.
Madison's unbeaten run began with a 24-7 win over Millburn two Thanksgivings ago after the Dodgers lost to Summit in the state sectional semifinals that year.

Nearly 1,500 filled Millburn High School's Dr. Keith A. Neigel Field on a crisp morning as the bands played from the stands and former players, families and students surrounded the field.

"This is a chance to win 11 games; we set high goals each year and we want to be 12-0," Madison coach Chris Kubik said, "and this is another chance to play football and that is what we love to do."
Millburn coach Carmen Guarino wanted his team to have "our playoff game; this is our state championship," he said.
"For us, this is our last 48 minutes," Guarino said. "So for the seniors that are putting on the pads for the last time, this is the last 48 minutes."
Carson Lassiter and Justin Goodwin each had two touchdowns and Shone Register also scored.
