Madison Pizzeria A Semifinalist In Search For Best Pizza In NJ

MADISON, NJ — Urban Fire Pizza has been named a semifinalist in the Star Ledger's best pizzeria search.

The Madison joint was one of 50 spots nominated statewide, and the 23rd nomination picked by fans. Overall, 24 were picked by eaters, and 26 were nominated by the Star Ledger's food critic.

"What an Honor to be in the same category as these Elite places. I'm so hungry now!!! Thank you to all that voted! We love you. Madison is #1 in our book!!" the pizzeria wrote on Facebook.

Urban Fire (6 Main Street) serves Neapolitan style wood-fired pizza, in addition to sandwiches and shareables. (You can check out their full menu here.)

The paper will visit all semifinalists this month. In late July, they'll revisit the top ten before naming a winner in early August.
