Officials from the police, fire, and ambulance services all helped save a 22-year-old man's life.

MADISON, NJ— A team of Madison first responders saved a man's life outside of the Public Safety Building Monday night, Madison officials said on Facebook.
A private citizen alerted police to the emergency, screaming out of the building for help. A 22-year-old man was unconscious on the ground, bleeding from the face, officials said.
Police called for an ambulance and paramedics, but the man went into cardiac arrest and stopped breathing before they could arrive. Volunteer ambulance personnel already on scene delivered two shocked from the police department AED, with assistance from Madison firefighters.

“Madison is very lucky to have such professional first responders who act in unison when one of our citizens is in need. Police, Fire and EMS did an outstanding job and the patient has another chance at life. This could have been a tragic story if the medical episode occurred where no one witnessed it," Madison Chief Dachisen said.
