Madison Police Honored For Saving Resident From Cardiac Arrest

MADISON, NJ - Sgt. Craig Perrelli, Patrolman Matthew Mirabella and Patrolman Jerald S. Mantone were named June employees of the month in Madison. Another word being used to descrbie them is hero.

Perrelli, Mirabella and Mantone were singled out for saving the life of a resident in cardiac arrest.

According to officials, the resident was not breathing and did not have a pulse when Perrelli, Mirabella and Mantone responded and initiated CPR. The trio worked "tirelessly together" with the MVAC and MICU, officials said.

The officers were rewarded for their efforts when the resident began to breathe, regained a pulse and was transported to Morristown Medical Center, officials said.
