Madison Public Library To Reopen For Curbside. How It Works

Through this service patrons can borrow library materials without entering the building.

MADISON, NJ - After months of being denied access to media resources due to the restrictions meant to stem the spread of COVID-19, the Madison Public Library is opening curbside pick-up service for books, music and other library materials.

After taking a few days to prepare, to ensure that necessary safety protocols are in place, Madison will launch contactless pickup on Tuesday. The building will remain closed to the public.

If items are due, will I receive a fine?

No. There will be no fines issued while the library remains closed.

Can I return my library items to the outdoor bookdrop?

Yes. We are accepting returns through our bookdrop. We encourage patrons to return materials to the library you pick them up from as there is no delivery service. We will be quarantining returned items for 72 hours. This means that they will not be discharged from your account until 72 hours after you return them.

If I have any questions about digital resources, is there any way to contact a staff member?

Yes. Staff members are monitoring social media and department emails to help answer any questions you might have. You can email the Youth Services Department at Childrens@madison.mainlib.org and the Adult Services Department at Reference@madison.mainlib.org.
