MADISON, N.J. (June 27, 2019) – The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage real estate office on 49 Main Street in Madison, N.J. unveiled its new look on Friday, June 21 as one of only four company locations in the Coldwell Banker® network to undergo a visual transformation as part of “Project North Star.” The Madison office – located just one mile in town from Coldwell Banker’s corporate headquarters at 175 Park Ave. - will serve as a test market deploying new office signage, yard signs, marketing materials and more this summer ahead of the full network-wide rebrand in 2020. Coldwell Banker leadership from across the nation were in attendance for the launch.

Coldwell Banker Real Estate has dubbed this work a transparent rebrand, meaning feedback solicited from test offices will impact the final look and feel of the new brand materials. The Madison office is therefore playing a vital role in determining the future of Coldwell Banker branding, in addition to its leading role in local real estate. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is the highest-performing real estate office in Madison, N.J., surpassing all competition in closed sales volume and total units sold during the last year, according to the Garden State Multiple Listing Service.

On Thursday, June 27, real estate agents from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Madison “Painted the Town Blue” by replacing all of their “For Sale” signs in the area with signs displaying the new Coldwell Banker logo.

Since launching the rebrand with a logo reveal at the Generation Blue Experience® in Las Vegas in March, Coldwell Bankerset upon a path to retell its brand story by solidifying its mission statement and recommitting to its core values. The new logo, called the “CB North Star,” symbolizes the Coldwell Banker network: in an ever-changing real estate landscape, agents remain a constant, guiding consumers as they navigate the home buying and selling process.

During this second phase of the rebrand, the test markets will deploy the new logo in real-world scenarios and collect feedback from agents and homebuyers. Coldwell Banker will also conduct market research to test the new look with the public. Based on the data collected, the brand will modify and refine materials including marketing collateral, building signs and yard signs to create a final visual identity that represents Coldwell Banker and meets the needs of the network. At the Coldwell Banker Leadership Summit in September, the brand will present the outcome of this testing including new identity standards, announce the full rollout plan and share actionable best practices to help guide the rest of the network before implementation in 2020.

Along with the Madison, N.J. office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Dupont/Logan DC Office; Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, Plainfield, Ill., Office; and Coldwell Banker Caine will serve as test markets in June through August, with results being revealed at the Coldwell Banker Leadership Summit in September.
