Madison Republican Committee Awards Scholarship

The Madison Republican Committee is honored and excited to announce its 2022 scholarship has been awarded to Madison High School class of 2022 graduate Zoe Baumann.

This annual award is bestowed to a Madison High School Senior who represents integrity, the highest commitment to their community, and superior academic performance.

Baumann wrote an essay responding to this year's scholarship essay challenge to choose an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and write about its importance.

Baumann chose Amendment 1 of the Bill of Rights, noting how rare this protection is among countries of the world. The First Amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Baumann is a member of the National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society (French), and a recipient of a National French Honor Society Award, Madison Historical Society 2022 Scholarship, Presidential Award for Educational Excellence, Rotary Club of Madison ‘Laws of Life’ Essay Award 2021, and Morristown Festival of Books Teen Poetry Award, 2nd place. She competed for Madison High School in Track, 4 year Varsity - Discus and Javelin thrower.

The Madison Republican Committee wishes her the very best as she heads to Boston University in the Fall.
