The Madison Eagle Christmas Fund is a tax-exempt non-profit that uses all money raised to help disadvantaged Madison families and seniors enjoy a happy holiday season. In its fortieth year of bringing joy to the Madison residents, the fund is supported by many businesses and organizations, including the Madison Public Schools. The volunteers for the Fund have placed a donation box at each of the Madison public schools for donations of new, unwrapped children’s gifts. Toys, books, crayons, art supplies, hats, gloves and mittens are all needed. The one pictured here is at our Central Avenue School.
The Fund has grown over the years and now involves dozens of volunteers who donate their time to buy, wrap and deliver gifts to Madison households in need. Last holiday season, 97 families and seniors were helped by the Fund, which spent about $26,000 at Madison businesses.
