Madison Teacher Retires After 43 Years
She was honored with a tree and a plaque at the school.
MADISON, NJ — A Madison school teacher will be retiring after 43 years of teaching, 30 of them at one Madison school.
Mary Gibson, a second grade teacher at Central Avenue School in Madison, was honored with a tree and a plaque at the school. She has spent 30 years teaching at CAS, the school said on Facebook.
The plaque is engraved with "The Tree Song," and recognition of her 30 years of service. A sign will also be placed in the hallway near her classroom declaring it "Mary Gibbons Place."
