Madison Teen Arrested After Burglarizing Home, Fighting Resident: Cops
Alleged thief confronted by victim before police arrived, authorities report.

A 19-year-old Madison man was arrested and charged with a number of offenses after allegedly burglarizing a borough home and fighting one of the residence’s occupants, police said.
Officer Stephanie Corrao responded to a Main Street address at 5:50 a.m. on Nov. 15 for a report of a fight between two males, police said.
When police arrived they found the two subjects separated after a “mutual fight,” police said. During an investigation it was revealed Victor Hoyos, 19, had allegedly burglarized the residence and concealed items to take from the location, police said.

Witnesses told police that Hoyos knew the residents and was confronted by the victim while trying to leave with the stolen items, police said.
Hoyos was arrested on scene and charged with third degree burglary and fourth degree theft of moveable property. He was released on his own recognizance pending a court date.
