Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps HOST OPEN HOUSE FOR TEENS INTERESTED IN EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES
A program for high school students

MADISON, NJ – October 6, 2016 – See yourself as you never have before, as a teen member of the Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps (MVAC) Exploring Post 29, learning lifesaving medical skills, making new friends and along the way saving lives. The open house will be held Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. located at Madison Volunteer Ambulance Corps (29 Prospect St, Madison, NJ 07940). MVAC Exploring Post 800 is open to students ages 14 to 21. Students interested in attending the open house should r.s.v.p. to https://tinyurl.com/j72haem.
Teens are taught CPR, advanced first aid skills and receive instructions in using lifesaving equipment carried on the volunteer rescue squad ambulances. The Explorers often conduct behind the scene tours of fire/ems station, hospitals, police stations and other public safety environments.
EMS Career Exploring is a hands-on program open to young men and women from the age of 14 to 20 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of fire or emergency services.

Exploring is a worksite-based program of Learning for Life, a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 through 20 years old (15 through 21 in some areas). Exploring units, called "posts", usually have a focus on a single career field, such as police, fire/rescue, emergency medical services, healthcare, law, aviation, engineering, or the like, and may be sponsored by a government or business entity.
