Madison Welcomes New Auxiliary Officer
Jonathan Grant completed a 10 week training to join Madison's finest.
MADISON, NJ - The Madison Police Department has added to their ranks with the addition of Patrolman Jonathan Grant as the newest auxiliary police officer.
Grant graduated the 10 week Basic Auxiliary Police Academy at the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Training Academy. Auxiliary officers are highly trained volunteers who serve their community in a variety of police-related tasks. Often their responsibilities include Assistance at major public events and augment regular officers in traffic and crowd control.
During times of emergencies or natural disasters, auxiliary officers can also provide needed supplemental police service to residents.
