Madison Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk In School Zone

Police say the woman drove off the road and hit garbage cans near Brooklake Elementary School in Florham Park.

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — A Madison woman is accused of driving drunk near a Florham Park elementary school last week, Florham Park police said.

Early morning on Aug. 7, police say they saw a car veer off Brookline Road and strike garbage cans. Police pulled the car over, and could smell alcohol while talking to the driver.

The driver, Christine M. Fico, 29, of Madison, was arrested and taken to police headquarters. There, she was given a breath test and police say it showed she was too impaired to drive a car.
