Madison Woman Faces Assault Charge
ELizabeth Cooper was arrested after an altercation on Jan. 5.

MADISON, NJ - A 24-year-old Madison woman was arrested after an altercation on Jan. 5, according to the Madison Police Department.
According to officials, Patrolman Timothy Battillo was dispatched on Jan. 6 to a Park Avenue location for an assault that had taken place. Upon arrival, witnesses reported that Elizabeth Cooper assaulted a known acquaintance previously in the evening, police said. Cooper was located on the property and placed under arrest, police said.
She was charged with simple assault, a disorderly person’s offense, and later released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court, police said.
