Man Assaulted Friend In Front Of Cops: Madison Police

Police did not say whether the two men remained friends or not.

MADISON, NJ— A friendly fight this was not: A Newark man was arrested for assaulting his friend in front of police earlier this month, Madison Police said.

Police were responding to a report of a suspicious person at a Main Street home in the early morning hours of Dec 6.

There, they met with Shawn Feaster, 21, and an acquaintance. As police were investigating, Feaster assaulted the friend in front of police.

Feaster was also found to have a "large amount" of Oxycodone pills on his person, police said.

He was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, a 3rd degree crime and simple assault, a disorderly person’s offense.
