Man Jailed After Dispute at Convenience Store

Morristown resident wanted on outstanding warrants in two towns.

After allegedly engaging in a verbal dispute at a Main Street convenience store, a Morristown man was arrested last week on two outstanding warrants, Madison Police said Monday.

On May 11 at 9:43 p.m., Madison Ptl. Matthew Mirabella arrested Jonathan Rojas on the strength of an $851 warrant issued by Morris Township Municipal court and a $206 warrant issued by Hanover Township Municipal court, police said.

Mirabella was called to  where Rojas was allegedly involved in a verbal dispute. A computer check was run on his name and Mirabella was alerted that there were arrest warrants for him. He was transported to headquarters for processing, and later transported to Morris Township Police headquarters in lieu of bail. Ptl. Lisa Esposito assisted with the arrest.
