Merrily We Roll Along

Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Visual and Performing Arts Department will be performing Merrily We Roll Along, a musical written by eight time Tony Award winner, Stephen Sondheim. The production opens on Friday, March 27 at 8 p.m.

Merrily We Roll Along travels back in time from 1976 to 1957, following the journey of Franklin Shepard, a disheartened, middle-aged songwriter, and two friends from his past. The musical follows the three friends throughout various milestones of their personal and professional lives. The show exudes humor, wit and intensity, with an illustrious “Broadway-style” score. Merrily We Roll Along is an inspirational story for anyone who has ever pursued a dream.

Additional performance dates are as follows: March 28 at 8 p.m., March 29 at 2:30 p.m., April 2 at 8 p.m., April 3 at 8 p.m., April 4 at 8 p.m. and April 5 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $6 for students, Fairleigh Dickinson community and senior citizens.
