MJS SOUPer Bowl!

MJS to hold 1st Annual SOUPER Bowl Canned Food Drive and we need your help!

1st ANNUAL MJS SOUPER BOWL CHALLENGE

Sponsored by the MJS Student Council

Every year, the Super Bowl is watched by millions of people worldwide. This year the Student Council had the idea of transforming this huge event into an opportunity to help the less fortunate. The winter is a tough time of year for pantries, and with hunger on the rise, what better time to hold a food collection?

How does it work?
The MJS Souper Bowl is a two week collection challenge open to anyone! The competition starts on Monday, January 22nd and will run through Wednesday, February 7. All of our donations will benefit the organization BE THE CHANGE. This is a follow up activity to our MLK Day theme of CARING and COMPASSION.

The grade that collects the most canned goods (or non perishable items) wins! Each grade will have a designated area to drop their food donations. Our goal is to collect 1000 cans of food this year, which is roughly 2 cans per student. Community members are encouraged to drop cans off in the main office.

The grade with the most points after the contest period will be the Souper Bowl Champion. The best part? There are no losers! All collections will benefit those struggling with hunger in our community so every donation makes a difference. Help us tackle hunger this month and join the fun!
