During the past few cold winter months, the students, teachers, parents, and staff from The Montessori Children’s Academy (MCA) participated in a school-wide service project to support Bridges Outreach in Summit, NJ. MCA’s amazing families donated items to help fill sustainable brown lunch bags for people in need. The children at the Chatham, Convent Station, and Short Hills campuses then decorated and filled each bag, preparing them for delivery by the Bridges organization to homeless individuals in Irvington, Newark, and Manhattan. The MCA students enjoyed participating in this meaningful, hands-on project and learned valuable lessons in charity. The entire family of The Montessori Children’s Academy was proud to continue its tradition of helping to make a positive difference in our community. For more information on how you can participate with Bridges Outreach, please contact Danny RosenHanst at 908-273-0176 or visit the Bridges website at www.bridgesoutreach.org.
